Subtraction –
= addition in reverse
= moving backwards = undoing
= minus (-) : most trusted helpmate of revision.
Infinite subtraction
returns infinity … to zero.

Divorce – marriage – love – error of judgment = single
single – divorce – hatred – loser husband/wife = new marriage.

A man once told me,
he was solely responsible for electing George W. Bush,
because,
after the invasions and the wars,
everyone claimed not to have  …. “so it must have been me.”
Conscience – polling booth choice = absolution.

I almost missed it,
in Saturday’s paper, 8cm x 8cm.
‘We seek ….’
It was the perfect job. It still would be.
I saw it over 30 years ago,
and wanted it. I still would.

Most of my life has been spent on the bench, occasionally called into the game by extravagance or attenuation.
